Home Service Delivery Stores To Install First, Followed By Dine-In Restaurants

Columbia, MD — August 18, 2004 — MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, and Pizza Hut (UK) Ltd., have signed a major account agreement under which Pizza Hut (UK) Ltd. purchases and installs MICROS RES 3000 and mymicros.net at all of its equity locations in the United Kingdom. Following successful operational trials earlier this year, the initial phase of installations, to over 100 Home Delivery Stores, commenced in August.

To service the sophisticated requirements of the pizza delivery segment, the MICROS offering constitutes a complete end-to-end solution that includes point-of-sale, delivery, guest services, labor management, secure desktop, enterprise management, web-based reporting and analysis, inventory control, and MICROS Workstation 4 (WS4) POS terminals.
