Largest Wendy's Franchisee Selects MICROS RES 3000 and mymicros.net for POS and Above-Store Software Solution

Columbia, MD—January 26, 2006—MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, and DavCo Restaurants, the largest franchisee of Wendy’s Restaurants, are pleased to announce that DavCo will deploy MICROS RES 3000, including 3700 QSR point-of-sale (POS) system, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), Enterprise Management, and mymicros.net, all running on the MICROS Workstation 4 and MICROS PC 2010 touchscreen terminals, in all of its 150+ locations. DavCo plans to complete a coordinated roll-out by mid-2006.

MICROS 3700 QSR supports Wendy’s inside speed of service needs by incorporating the functionality of the Kitchen Display System within the front counter workstations along with order transactions. This helps to minimize additional hardware investment, maximize employee efficiency and permit both the cashier and production personnel to work simultaneously and harmoniously to expedite customer orders.

MICROS Enterprise Management accommodates headquarter changes throughout the system in a controlled and manageable manner, reducing the time and effort to introduce new items throughout the restaurants, by replacing the shipped diskette and manual loading approach. At the same time, mymicros.net affords DavCo fast access to information from all of its stores via the Internet and facilitates the exchange of information among managers, greatly reducing the duplication of manual data entry and increasing the speed of access to actionable business performance metrics.
