U.S. Navy Selects MICROS RES 3000 AND MICROS 2010 Workstations

Columbia, MD—April 25, 2006—MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, announced that it has partnered with Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) to deploy its MICROS RES 3000 Point of Sale solution in select Navy locations worldwide. Additionally, MICROS will provide its PCWS 2010 touchscreen terminals to Navy sites for use with both MICROS RES 3000 and Navy MWR’s recreation tracking software.

The MICROS RES 3000 solution meets Navy MWR’s requirements for a COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) solution that provides significant flexibility and configuration for the various types of food & beverage activities on base. MICROS Systems’ global support model is unique to the industry, offering Navy 24/7 Help Desk and dispatch support for both hardware and software through a single call to the MICROS Support Center.

MICROS RES 3000 is currently in operation in over one hundred Navy MWR locations in continental U.S., Hawaii and Asia-Pacific regions. MICROS anticipates completion of additional installations worldwide as part of the Navy MWR program. MICROS RES 3000, with its adaptable front end and back office functionality, provides Daily Sales Reporting and Menu Item Tracking for ease of operation for all Navy MWR activities from grab and go, to quick service, to table service. In addition, RES 3000 is able to integrate with Navy MWR’s global financial system providing the ability to manage data centrally.

The MICROS PCWS 2010 is a state of the art PC-based, touchscreen point-of-sale terminal. In addition to MICROS RES 3000 installations, the Navy currently uses MICROS workstations as a hardware option to run its recreation tracking software in 112 Navy recreation locations, providing the Navy with a standard hardware platform for NAVY MWR activities in both the U.S. and internationally.
