Turner Field Upgrades to MICROS 9700 HMS
Columbia, MD—April 26, 2006—MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality industry, is pleased to announce that the Atlanta Braves Turner Field has upgraded and expanded its MICROS 9700 to include all concessions and its exclusive Lexus Level. These new installations supplement the existing MICROS installations at the Chop House, 755 Club, and the in-seat service.
The upgrade will include over 160 MICROS Keyboard Workstation 4s (KWS 4), the addition of RFID readers, and the introduction of cashless payment options to Atlanta’s baseball fans. The investment in technology facilitates faster service, allowing fans to see more of the game. Through the scalability and flexibility of MICROS 9700 HMS, the Braves were able to leverage its initial investment with MICROS and expand the solution throughout the stadium, saving both time and money. Using the 9700 Web Reporting Suite, the Braves management team has access to real-time business intelligence for all food and beverage outlets, including key financial metrics and individual menu item sales.
“We are pleased that the Atlanta Braves chose to expand the MICROS 9700 HMS implementation throughout Turner Field,” stated Jenny Kurdle, Executive Vice President of MICROS Leisure and Entertainment. “With our MICROS 9700 suite of products, MICROS is offering new opportunities for Major League Sports to implement a fully integrated and comprehensive Premium, Concessions, Catering, and Suites Management product line.”
